How do I use the map maker?

Accepted Answer

Select a tile type from the tool palette (Wall, Floor, Door, Water, Trap, Treasure, Monster, or Start), then click on grid cells to place them. Click an occupied cell with the same tool to remove it. You can click and drag to paint multiple tiles. Adjust grid size between 10x10 and 40x40.

Can I export the map?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Click 'Export as PNG' to download a high-quality PNG image of your map. The exported image includes all placed tiles with color coding and icons, suitable for printing or sharing in virtual tabletop applications.

What do the different tile types represent?

Accepted Answer

Wall (gray) blocks movement, Floor (brown) is traversable space, Door (amber) marks doorways, Water (blue) represents bodies of water, Trap (dark red with !) marks hazards, Treasure (gold with $) marks loot locations, Monster (red with M) marks creature positions, and Start (green with S) marks the party's entry point.

Is there an undo feature?

Accepted Answer

Currently the map maker does not have undo/redo. You can click any tile to toggle it back to empty, or use the Clear All button to reset the entire map. For best results, plan your layout before placing tiles.
