Yes. Approximately 25% of generated encounters are non-combat, featuring social interactions, puzzles, or environmental challenges specific to the chosen environment. These provide opportunities for roleplay and creative problem-solving.

How are monsters selected for the party level?

Accepted Answer

Monsters are filtered by Challenge Rating appropriate to the party's tier: Tier 1 (levels 1-4) uses CR 0-4, Tier 2 (5-10) uses CR 1-10, Tier 3 (11-16) uses CR 4-16, and Tier 4 (17-20) uses CR 10-30. This ensures encounters are roughly appropriate, though DMs should still use judgment.
