You touch a creature, and that creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become cursed for the duration. You choose the nature of the curse from several options, such as disadvantage on checks and saves with an ability score, disadvantage on attacks against you, or wasting turns.
At Higher Levels. At 4th level the duration becomes concentration up to 10 minutes. At 5th level, 8 hours without concentration. At 7th level, 24 hours. At 9th level, the curse lasts until dispelled.
